Complete jerk to a 77 yr old man who’d just had two heart attacks. Felt aggressive and impatient, condescending.
After a brief meeting with another cardiologist in his old practice where the other Dr looked at me and said I had sleep apnea and diabetes (because I’m obese) even though I don’t I asked for a different Dr. Thank goodness it was Dr Woolverton. He’s been kind and courteous for my appointments and made my LAD stent painless. I can’t recommend him more. I just wish I knew where his new practice is as I neglected to ask for the new number when I rescheduled and lost the new address.
Did a stress test then a catheter test for mild chest pain. He told me results were not good that I needed to have bypass surgery immediately. No details of the tests were shared. At Follow up appointment 3 weeks after surgery asked for details of the test results. It was clear this angered and annoyed him. His answers were brief and unsatisfactory. The whole appointment I had the feeling I was intruding on his time and my asking for details was extremely annoying to him.

I am a new patient at office, called after hours due to issues with heart palpitations…Dr Woolverton asked “Why are you calling me at 2am, I have to get up and work in the morning, I am trying to sleep”…If I knew what the issues was I would NOT have called…his demeanor and comments were completely unprofessional…being on call for patients IS your job…I NEVER reach out to Drs…usually a healthy person so to have this response from a health care provider is extremely concerning…if you are thinking of making Dr William S Woolver... read more

Very comprehensive and backed by an excellent staff.
Saw Dr. Woolverton as the result of ER visit during our trip home to Central Florida. He is very easy to talk to, listens intently, and his upbeat mannerisms are very reassuring when faced with a potential severe medical condition. Fortunately, my situation was musculoskeletal and not cardiac. If I lived Venice, he would be my cardiologist without reservation.
