Good doctor but everytime I call to make an appointment it's always 4 months out.
Although I have only had one appointment, which took some time to schedule, I was very impressed! Dr. Bigelow was extremely thorough, asked the right questions, and actually remembered my answers. His "bedside" manners were wonderful and put me at ease. I found it very easy to talk with him. The office staff was courteous and very friendly. Valorie, his medical assistant was so sweet and assured me that I would be happy that I chose Dr. B for my care. Absolutely TERRIBLE practice that has no concern for patients!! Not "IF" but "WHEN" you need to see the doctor....GOOD LUCK!! It will not happen for months. I called to see him due to a bad AFIB like condition, and their recaptionist told me the only appointment I can get is in 5 1/2 months from now!! I might be dead by then!! I told them Dr. Bigalow altered my prescription and I'm having bad reactions. Do you really want to have a doctor you cannot see or talk to WHEN YOU NEED HIM THE MOST??? From a MUSC dialysis patient and a MUSC employee to you. POOR service. Making the impossible possible, think again! Impossible to find an emergency appointment with your PCP. Out of 79 MD, no one is available for an emergency visit, even a call, will take 24-48 hrs. You must travel to Daniel Island to be seen by a nurse tomorrow. What is MUSC leadership doing? so many issues at their door, poor customer services, opening more and more hospital and medical office to provide what? to provide less and less services.Feel ashamed... read more
