I had a stent in my left renal artery that had collapsed and I couldn’t have chosen a better surgeon to operate on me. Dr. Shutze was truly amazing. He explained everything thing in a great manor and I was at ease through the whole procedure due to his professionalism. I will tell everyone about him. Hopefully I won’t need surgery ever again but if it was ever necessary I would be headed his way.

Dr. Shutze repaired an aneurysm in my carotid artery. I was so scared but he made me feel safe and at peace with having this surgery. He went above and beyond explaining this procedure to me and my family until he knew we understood. I thank God that I was able to go to such an exemplary surgeon. He saved my life and I just can’t speak highly enough of him. Every time I tell someone I had this surgery and who performed it they tell me I had the best and I agree.

Then comes december 2016 and low and behold i had another one at the point that your eliac arteries branch off of your aorta and there is a small vascular artery that hooks back around to your liver to feed blood and as fate would have

He is efficient and very knowledgeable. Friendly and cheerfull but he dump me on someone else for a procedure that I have never heard of because he is attending a seminar. I feel I am not very important since the procedure has been scheduled for weeks. Hurts my feelings and I doubt he bothers to read this review.

I was rushed to Baylor Heart Hospital by helicopter from Sherman, TX with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. Dr. Shutze performed the surgery. The fact that I am writing this 3 months since the surgery is evidence of his surgical knowledge, skill and care. It wasn't until after the surgery that I first met Dr. Shutze. During the remaining 5 days at Baylor, he visited several times always cheerful and encouraging. This was also observed by my family and friends. My life was in his hands.
