I've only gone to Horn for relatively small quantities of steel. Always a great experience. Even if I tell them I'm not in a rush they often have it ready the next day. They often have drops, pieces left from cut steel that are a bargain.
Sold small quantity, cut to size. They also gave me quotes on several different sizes of stock. Much better pricing than online or big box stores. Friendly, didn't treat me like I was wasting their time with my small project like a lot of places will.
I have used Horn on and off for the past 15 years for small to med projects. They are always super friendly and helpful. It doesn't matter if you need one small piece of steel or a large cut to size plate, they will accommodate you. Prices are great too!

This is the best place to buy steel locally. Always super friendly, fair prices and don't mind accommodating the small shop or weekend warriors. Some places charge a premium for small quantities or require minimum purchases. Not Horn. Great company. Support local small businesses or they may not be here tomorrow!
