I have been in Dr. Callahan's care for over a decade. He has always been extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. I was in my eighties and living alone when COVID 19 came along, and my daughter-in-law, in Michigan, called Dr. Callahan and told him about her concerns. He promptly called in a dose of Paxlovid for me which he had especially formulated according to my special requirements; and my response was as if I only had a cold which required more sleep than the usual one. Dr Callahan and the staff at Abington Medical are allcourteous, friendly and professional. Dr. Callahan takes the time to completely evaluate, diagnose and explain the condition he is treating. The office staff answers all calls personally after minimal prompts from the automatic answering machine so you don't have to wait for a call back like you do at most offices. I highly recommend Dr Callahan for his medical knowledge and professionalism.

Just to be clear I didn't actually get an appointment with this doc. Dr Callahan is not accepting new patients. But it's just one more in a long line of disappointing Jefferson Health primary care experiences. The ones that are won't see you for months, and/or they don't treat sick patients. Frustrating.
