Terrible experience with my mother's passing. First RN I had contact with was Ruth who was confrontational and did not seem to care about listening to family. Having just arrived I was hoping to my mother would wake so I could say goodbye to her. When I said this to Ruth she said, "she's not waking up" and "well, good luck with that." It was the most careless thing someone in her position could say to a grieving son. It was pretty much down hill from there. I went to the dedication Ceremony yesterday as my husband Leo Whiteford had the honor of having one brick dedicated. It was a beautiful sunny day and a very nice service. There were Drs. Health First people and Volunteers. It was handled beautifully. My husband only spent about 13 hrs., there but, these people are the most dedicated, compassion staff. His brick is in the back of the house near the fountain. I had sat there while he had been sleeping and found it to be very comforting and peaceful. Thank you for all you do to... read more
