If your labs are normal but have proof that you have a thyroid disease and have been diagnosed by another Endocrinologist, this doctor will not see you. I was also informed that once your labs are normal you will no longer be a patient. Northwestern expect you to go to a primary doctor rather than going to an Endocrinologist even with proof of a condition that suffice treatment by a Endocrinologist. There is not a better doctor out there....
Dr. Bayer flat-out saved my life. I've been seeing him for years. He caught my Hashimoto's where my regular doctors hadn't and has always had great communication with me. The treatments he prescribed always performed. He then eventually caught a miniscule nodule in my thyroid. People, don't get irritated that a nurse calls you to pursue something instead of the doctor -- that's their job and it frees the doctor up to do his.
