Extremely pleased with results of my surgery by Dr. Bearden to correct my Eyelid ptosis. He took lots of time with me before, during, and after my surgery. I used the lid lift goggles And I truly think they made a difference! I Highly recommend Dr. Bearden. The care I was given by the staff at the Virginia Eye Institute hospital for my surgery, was the best you could ask for. I have been seeing professionals at the Virginia Eye Institute for years now and only have wonderful feedback for all of them.
My son was referred to Dr. Bearden by his pediatrician for a ptosis surgery about six months ago. Unfortunately, the results were very disappointing the ptosis returned, and the appearance of his eyelid did not improve as we hoped. We went for follow-up visits over several months, and I felt that Dr. Bearden did not show much empathy or concern about how the outcome affected my son. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Bearden. He did a beautiful job on my eyes and I am absolutely thrilled with them. I had no complications and anytime I had questions or concerns the staff called me back immediately with answers. I recommend him 100% to anybody.
While I was satisfied with the results of the procedure performed by Dr Bearden (removal of a sebaceous cyst from my eyelid), neither the office nor Dr Bearden were fully transparent about the total cost. I asked about the cost during four separate conversations. Dr Bearden told me the cost would be $400 in the procedure room to which I agreed. I had a traumatic eye injury from an accident. Dr. Bearden worked me in to an office appt then surgery within 48 hours. This was after a terrible experience with an Opthamologist in town who advised I just wait and see when everything I was reading said time to surgery impacts the outcome. His empathy, surgical skill, and bedside manner were above all expectations.
