Dr. Hale has been my Gastro guy for years. When I went to see him for a problem, he had reviewed all my files from other doctors, and was completely up to date on my current health. He is very thorough, smart and kind.
THE BEST! I am a former cancer patient and rely on Dr. Hale to perform my routine colonoscopies. For many years, Dr. Hale has proven to be the most experienced and most brilliant MD anywhere. I have recommended former employees to Dr. Hale and dozens have raved about his excellent work. You will never fine a better gastroenterologist than Dr. William Hale of Norwalk Hospital..Period!!!
Dr. Hale is a true professional. He is caring with an excellent bedside manor and is experienced and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more. His nurse, however, caused a huge bump and bruise on my entire hand (excluding fingers) when she put the IV in. That was a bummer.
It was a real delight for me to experience Dr. Hale’s remarkable quality of practice: his thorough patient-centered approach, his superior level of expertise, and his ability to provide a comforting healing environment. I believe Dr. Hale represents the best of what an outstanding physician is about: integrity, excellence, and compassion.
Dr Hale is attentive, responsive and his office is extremely well run, very short wait time, well scheduled. My son has Crohns Disease and we are extremely happy with Dr. Hale and our experiences. I also find any time you have an issue and Dr. Hale needs to call, he is extremely diligent in his follow up and calls you that same day. Superb service.
I have been through several colonoscopies and endoscopes with Dr. Hale and he always was very knowledgeable, very caring and willing to take the time to provide any information you need/want to help you to understand what would be done and make you comfortable.

I had a bad flare up, and I was completely under medicated. I was also only given 15 day supply for a generic colonic anti-inflammatory. The dose wasn't' enough and 15 days wasn't enough. I conveyed this to the office. Four business days later they refilled the prescription, again for 15 days and same dose. I've had my condition for 11 years, I've been on this same medication for 3-6 months. To the MD's defense, it could be the nurse. She should have noticed this was bizarre.dose and timetable.
