Hi I was a patient of Dr Athens 5 years ago. I eventually had a hip replacement and Dr Athens did the surgery. I noticed quite a few bad reviews he’s been getting so I felt the need to come on and say something. NO, he does not have the BEST bedside manner, but wouldn’t you rather have a brilliant surgeon, then a surgeon who gives you fake smiles and lollipops! I saw Dr. Athans for a second opinion regarding my ongoing knee pain. Unfortunately, he only spent a few minutes with me, quickly stating that he didn’t see a need for a scope and that I would essentially just have to live with the problem. Dr Athans was very professional and thorough. Worked with me to come up with a treatment plan. A no non-sense type doctor, there to provide the best possible care for me the patient. Wasn’t there to make friends, as they say in the Godfather “nothing personal, just business “. I would highly recommend Dr Athans.

Dr. Athens was very attentive. He even cracked a joke! Answered questions and asked me if I had any more. Got an injection in my knee. Great experience!!
