RecommendedVery helpful. Nice to have a good hardware store in a small town and not have to run to Springfield every time we need something that True Value sells. You might be pleasantly surprised by finding an item there that you need.
For a business trying to grow they have possibly the most unfriendly staff, (especially the lady at the register) No "can I help you, or did you find everything?" No greeting at the register, the only thing out of her mouth was the price of my purchase and that was all - (making sure they got their money. This was my final visit to this store which is sad because it's only 5 minutes from my house. I will drive a little further and go to Lowe's, at least they treat you like a customer and not an inconvenience.
The store is always clean & organized. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. I learned the "True Value" can't be found in a big blue or orange warehouse. Let's go RED!!!
Quite possibly the least friendly staff ever. They don't greet you, don't ask if you need help or say anything as you leave. I only go there if I have absolutely no other option.

Today was the third time I have been in this store and these people are UNBELIEVABLY rude. They didn’t say hello, thank you or goodbye. They acted like helping me find the paint and utensils I needed was the last thing they would ever consider doing. Very hateful staff and I won’t ever be back. This is a small town and people should be thoughtful of one another, not act like their party is being interrupted by a customer, no matter the size of their purchase. Inconsiderate staff. Very disappointed.
Horrible customer service. the managers is completely rude!!!.. bought a display model no box shop vac cuz only 1 they had, used it to vac a partial sub floor, it blew dust all over room does me no good as I'm a painter.. cleaned it up wash it out & took it back within 4 hours of purchase the manager said he was not able to take he even said u did ur job now u want to return it... belive me if i was able to do my Job wth it i would not not have wanted to return it.. oh And by the way trying to return and buy a more expensive... read more
