About this business

The great outdoors will seem even greater after visiting this discount outdoor adventure shop. Unlike other stores that make the same claim yet sell gear that is best suited for a backyard slumber party, this shop features only top-of-the-line gear by such makers as Sierra Designs and Moss. Everything on the shelves is either used, discontinued, overstocked, cosmetically blemished or closed-out. This allows for markdowns at 20 to 60 percent below retail. Ropes, tents, climbing shoes, clothing, sleeping bags, cookware and bin... read more

Fantastic outfitter in the 303 – top-notch staff, great prices, cool selection of new and store-sample gear, welcoming atmosphere. Their basement samples selection may only be in limited sizes and brands, but what they have is fantastic and the prices are worth the hunt.

Not a big fan of there gear selection and the guy at checkout was really stuck up and eating while checking you out.

Passed this place on my way back to Winter Park. Decided to stop in since I have a big trip coming up that I've been looking for a large backpack for. One of the employees Jessie, was very patient with helping me find a backpack that fit. I ended up buying a 50 L osprey pack that she educated me on adjustments and took time changing out the straps. Everyone was real chill & laid back. Shopped a little more after I picked out my pack and another employee educated me on how it was made in CO and the warranty is great. All in a... read more

Hey, Pete: there's explaining your policies. And, then there's being a jerk. Also, would it have killed you to finish our transaction before moving to help somebody else? Maybe called one of the other bros who you call coworkers. Your misogyny also shows when you say you wouldn't wear my stuff in the back country. Didn't know that dresses were verboten in the hills. Good to know that it's not okay to be any kind of woman, let alone a femme in Colorado. It's a shame. I've been buying and selling great gear here for years. I'v... read more

Business response:

Hi Sarah I would like to apologize that you had such a negative experience at the shop. I met with the individuals involved- Peter and the manager on duty that day to discuss what went wrong in your interaction. It's provided a great opportunity to discuss with my staff how we can do better and specifically in this case, when carrying out a policy or needing to say no, to do so in a way that is not confrontational to our customers. I sincerely believe none of this was intentional, but a compound of misunderstandings that unf... read more

Seems like they sell good equipment, but really frustrated with their return policy. I was given a gift that doesn't fit, but couldn't turn it in past the 30 day return policy. Couldn't even get a store credit for anything. Don't buy from them unless you are certain on sizing etc... Very disappointed!

I Visited This place Because Im From Oklahoma And There Is NO Climbing At All, But I Like Climbing So I Searched EVERYWERE In Oklahoma For Gear Such As An REI In Tulsa Oklahoma, An Academy In Oklahoma City, And Many More. I Seen That This Was The Only Place With All The Equipment I Needed So We Drove To Denver Just To Be At Wilderness Exchange And Im Moving To Denver Because Of This Store And Cimbing.

Business response:

Xavier, thanks for taking the time to review us! We are psyched that you had such a great experience in the shop and in Denver! Climbing is the source! We'll see you out at the crags!
