RecommendedWas able to get right in with a party of four. Although slightly busy the service was spot-on. Waitress was friendly taking our order immediately. Food came out in a reasonable time frame and was warm and fresh. Prices were very reasonable for the portions received.

New cocktail menu at Wild Hare BBQ! The Smoked Pork Egg Rolls are outta this world! Order them with a side of Asian Sesame sauce. The brisket has always been my favorite but the new smoked chicken wings are sooo good! Just the right amount of smoke and the skin is super crispy. I ordered mine naked but you can sauce them in several different sauces. Great beer and cocktail selections & awesome service make this THEE place to eat in Van Wert! Kudos to Chef Jerome & his staff!
Smoked salmon salad is awesome!
The place is very small. We walked in and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. The people in front of us said they got in because they had a reservation. We didn’t want to wait so we asked about a reservation for another night. We were told the owner didn’t want to do reservations. We drove clear to Van Wert to try this place but apparently no one wanted our business. We’ll just go to Gibson’s in Convoy from now on.
The pulled pork sandwich is to die for. And the cheesy potatoes are heavenly. Yum
