We have visited and ate at Wild Ginger a few times. First just myself and the husband for lunch. Then a group of 7 for a friends birthday dinner. And more recently two couples plus their infant child. This recent trip was definitely more memorable for the wrong reasons. Not Thrilled.... – They just opened a location at 3rd Ave. and 51st Street, had the Vitenamese Summer Roll and Cold Noodles in Seasme Sauce, both were not up to pare compared to other Thai restaruants. The Summer Roll was filled with rice noodles, little mango and very little avacodo, would of been better if filled with veggies.... The Noodles in Seasme Sauce was "blah", hardly ANY SAUCE AT ALL, and at the bottom of the noodles was oil.... just a pool of oil, i sort of gagged. Definately don't order sushi here... – We chose to start with some appetizers, and ordered a roll that said it was crabmeat and salmon. I guess I didn't expect to see imitation crabmeat. When I asked the waiter he responded quite certainly that that was indeed crab. I send it back and ordered the lobster roll which consisted of two small pieces of lobster and the rest of the roll had again imitation crab. great Thai place This moderately upscale Thai restaurant is definitely one of my top favorite Thai joints, though a little on the pricey side. I have undoubtedly had some of my best Thai dishes here. Apart from the food, I love the decor, speed and quality of service. My favorite dishes: Pad Thai, Thai Coconut Curry, Schezuan Pepper Corn chicken and Wok-glazed ginger chicken. Definitely wortha try!!
