my hair is very thin, and very straight. I have a cow lick in an inconvenient place for the style I like, so I've never really had decent experiences at hair dressers. Dani looked at a picture of my hair from when it was last cut by someone, and perfectly replicated it. ★Customers Beware★ Dani is a good colorist- but lacks in honesty and integrity. I was a first time customer, and made the mistake of trusting her. I asked her for low-maintenance coloring- I usually get a balayage. She told me that “speciality blonding” takes less to maintain- which is false. She never asked if I wanted a blowout and style. When she proceeded to blow dry my hair I thought it was just to check the color. That’s what most salons do. This salon is special because of the uniqueness, sensitivity and creativity of its owners, Leah Kaufman and Dani Marcellus. I see Leah, who listens carefully to what I’d like to accomplish during a visit, whether it’s a new hairstyle, or some type of color, etc. You can also text or email them ahead of time if you’re not sure about what you want.
