I got my braces done by Dr. Widman. He was always very attentive and understanding for the many problems I'd cause. I wasn't the best of patients because very other week, I broke something in my braces. I don't believe it too particularly long especially since I would break something. The reason he might take a bit longer than other orthodontists is because he wants each of his patient's teeth to be perfect. He'll take that extra few weeks to correct those last few millimeters. Dr. Widman and staff are incredible! I was seen as a patient, my sister was seen as a patient and now my brother is seen as a patient. I have complete confidence in him and his staff yes, treatment is costly but completely worth it. He is a very wise man, and a leader among his practice. With 30+ years of experience and having treated thousands of patients, and on staff at Stanford, you CANNOT go wrong with him!
DO NOT take your child to Dr. Widman. Rude office staff, no communication, over charges, and if you do get braces with him you are stuck with him because no one in the San Jose area will touch your child's braces or remove them. The site won't let me mark "Very Expensive" and "Poor Facilities". It doesn't think one office can have both. This one does.
Everyone there was rude. The assistant yanked on my cheeks to open my mouth. Dr. Widman would cough to the side when his hands were in my mouth. He told me that all my friends were calling in to tell him how my pointy tooth is ugly and that I should let him file it down. I didn't let him. He was a terrible orthodontist. my teeth are crooked again, because my wisdom teeth started coming in and cramped all my teeth again. What a waste.
Was too! long with braces(could of been partly my fault) but Way too long! My gums suffered afterwards a bit I feel, if I would have had them removed sooner it would of helped.
