Dr. Widerborg is an exceptional doctor/surgeon. She takes the time to talk with you about your concerns and decisions. She is a very caring person. She keeps you and family member informed before, during and after surgery. She follows up with you after surgery to make sure you are doing well even a year later.

This person was my first surgeon and lead my breast cancer treatment. She did not work with me - she worked ON me. I don't like that approach. Inserting my port, she poked my lung. This is a possibility, yet the instances are not common. In the hospital, it was noted I had a mass on my liver. Excellent doctor. I had a breast ultrasound done and the radiologist found a growth. He refused to do a biopsy to see if it was cancerous due to my breast implants. I was told to just monitor the growth which is a scary thought if the mass is cancerous. I went to Dr. Widerborg for a second opinion. She told me I could have an out patient surgery to remove the mass and test it. She answered all of my questions in depth and was very reassuring given my nervousness. I would recommend her to all.

She wasn't honest with me as to why I actually needed the surgery, then scolded me with a raised voice when I told her that I went to an oncologist for a second opinion. She also told me I could return to work the day after surgery but failed to mention that I would be wearing a very tight wrapping around my chest for 3 days and that I would not be able to shower. How was I supposed to return to work?
