RecommendedWe followed Dr Jacob Cohen from another clinic. He is caring, compassionate & our animals love him. We have had many unusual out of the box health crises & his expertise has guided us through them all. We are fortunate to have found him.
The front desk lady with the bright colored hair is incorrigible. She’s rude and lacks the compassion that one should have when helping clients calling in with a sick pet. Businesses should really consider who is on the frontlines - she is definitely a gross misrepresentation of your business.
My english bulldog was scheduled to be put down at his usual vet office tomorrow. He grew extremely uncomfortable, his face swelled up, and his breathing became labored this afternoon. We decided it was in his best Interest to bring him to the closest vet, which has been seen at before. The front desk staff was wonderful, took care of him immediately, until the doctor came out and was giving us the third degree on our dog who is 10 years old and is clearly in declining health. I feel the need to recognize how wonderful Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic was with Charlie over the last months of his care. Dr. Cohen never made me feel like I was bugging him with my barrage of questions. He was honest with me. Willing to fight for Charlie if I was.Discounted or gave me for free more than a few things as Charlie’s bills were starting to add up. And the whole staff was consistently kind. I called yesterday morning as my pup was having tummy issues. His regular vet Dr. Cohen was not available until later but they were able to get us in with Dr. O at 1:30. Much appreciated as Clark was truly in pain and I didn't want to make him wait. I love that appointments always run on time here because my pup gets very stressed in the waiting room. Dr. O was great, he took the time to explain what the cause might be, gave him a couple shots and prescribed pro-biotics. Today my pup is doing MUCH better, he's back to eating... read more
