recently toured and was told we were the first people to see the apartment so of course we applied ! after discussion, we were accepted but the landlord wanted us to pay around 6,000 right when the lease was signed. I would strongly caution anyone considering renting from this property/landlord. After my application was accepted, I was sent a lease agreement and explicitly told the apartment was mine if I wanted it. I only waited one day to review the contract before signing. While I was in the process of signing, the lease was suddenly canceled without explanation. I immediately asked for the lease to be resent and received no response for two days. Other people have mentioned it too but unless you pay the higher rates, they will let your building fall apart! They don’t complete regular building/unit inspections and they don’t clean the apartments before you move in. You have to be willing to maintain the building on your own - that even includes shoveling in the winter and cleaning the stairwells. I had several issues with bugs and mice, even on the higher floors! I caught 2 mice with traps I bought and they didn’t even want to reimburse me for the traps… You don’t hav... read more
