I am not a person to leave bad reviews and normally avoid it but I was highly disappointed in the food here. I heard so many good things about this place and was surprised on how clean it was inside the restaurant so that set my hopes high. I thought I would give this place a try. I ordered the food and went to pick it up and brought it home. When I went to open the plates I was highly disappointed on the extremely tiny portion sizes compared to the price of the plates. You may call this bbq but its not southern bbq. worst thing ive EVER tasted. I also noticed all the good reviews were from people who dont originate from here which well figures as people from outside of SC dont know what real SOUTHERN bbq is.Probably the most vile thing ive ever had. the slaw tasted like cabbage syrup or jelly

Staff was very friendly, even giving a sample of something we hadn't heard of previously (which was then ordered). Ribs were amazing!
I moved to SC from Birmingham, AL and lived in NC before that, so I feel like I have had a lot of experience with great bbq. Wholly Smokin is one of my favorites! I ordered a bunch for my son's first birthday party and got so many people asking where I got the great bbq from. The spicy baked beans were a huge hit as well. I'll definitely be ordering from Wholly Smokin again in the near future. Thanks so much for making my son's birthday party a huge success!

I discovered Wholly Smokin' when I first moved to Florence, SC from Raleigh, NC a year ago and have been a loyal patron ever since! They have some of the best food and staff you can find in Florence. The chicken bog is to die for especially with a side of their amazing mac and cheese. I'm never disappointed when I visit for a meal.
