I took my kids here and now my grandkids. Great doctors.
Dr. Whittaker is kind, knowledgeable and goes with what you want for your child, he’s not pushy and takes his time!
Not a good doctor option if you want anything natural or unconventional. Also didn’t do a good job on my son’s circumcision. And when we had vaccines, he was very pushy/condescending to any questions about them. One made my son extremely sick and the nurse acted extremely defensive and said there was no way it was linked even though his symptoms were listed as a main side effect. The nurse also seemed very unknowledgeable. Overall the clinic felt low budget, outdated and unprofessional.
I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. Dr. Whittaker was not my pediatrician of choice, as I gave birth at a hospital outside my hometown and had to rely on the on-call doctor for discharge. His bedside manner was abrasive. My newborn had mild jaundice, and he picked her up and nonchalantly told us she could have brain damage. He was very condescending and then left abruptly. What a way to scare a first-time mom.
Very pushy doctor. Made me and my husband upset because he kept saying “breast is best” when I chose not to breast feed for health reasons. He pressured my husband while I was in the hospital bathroom telling him to convince me to breast feed. Luckily my husband believes in my choice and said “it’s her choice and I support her.” If you need a pediatrician, go to Kari Smart in Newberg.
