I urge you to think long and hard before making the decision to choose Whitson Vision. During my initial consultation for cataract surgery I was offered the chance to have “perfect vision for the rest of my life, distance, midrange and close and no more glasses”. Do not go to this man for any reason. I went for what should have been simple cataract surgery and it has been a devastating nightmare. I ended up with two holes in the capsule, toric lens placed at wrong angle, remnants of cataract left, loss of vitrious gel and a hemorrhage. Its been several months, and I have now had 2 additional surgeries to correct his errors and will likely need one or two more. My vision is worse than when I started. I had cataract surgery with Dr Whitson and my results were excellent. He makes sure that you understand every aspect of the procedure. My surgery was complex in that I was extremely nearsighted with a good amount of farsightedness. I also had a very high degree of astigmatism. I am able to drive, work on my computer and read with no visual correction whatsoever. OUTSTANDING! The staff is very warm and patient. Everyone in this practice treats you like you are the only patient and are no. 1.
On September 18th I took my son in and we both had our annual exam. I also had a contact exam. We paid for the contact exam and told them we would be back in a few days to pick out our glasses since their shipment wasn't in yet. We went back 2 days later, picked out the frames and went home. I got a call from them saying that my insurance has kicked back my claim because there was already one made under my name. They told me I needed to fix it in order to get the glasses.
