I go in on a regular basis and buy ice cream from the Merrimon store. I buy it when they have a flavor of a day that I like because I love soft ice cream. "We don't pack it if we already have it frozen," she said today. They've told me this before and I've always explained to them that I don't buy solid frozen ice cream. I like soft ice cream. And it doesn't work to take it out of the freezer and leave it on the counter for a while; it just gets really soupy on the outside and not that soft on the inside. But today I couldn'... read more

Fifth time here and I keep hoping for something different. Not sure what the allure of this place is. Maybe lack of anything else around? Overpriced, icy and very artificial tasting. Makes me REALLY miss Wisconsin custard. 👎
Custard shop like I grew up with in upstate NY. Glad to visit with my child. He loved it. Will return next time we are in Asheville!
