Felt very comfortable with Dr Graybill at my initial visit. Unfortunately, I walked out of pre-op. Why? 1. I never spoke with her again after the initial visit. Pre-op appt was a fiasco 3. Multiple calls from Drs that I had no idea about who they were or why they were calling (and no working numbers to return calls) 4. Attempted to contact via “my chart” massinger. Maybe I didn’t have the right complexion for her to care more about my health. I believe if she would have provided me with more education then I wouldn’t have received the reoccurrence I did. I will say she allowed me to make the decision I did, but I received absolutely no education from her. She didn’t conduct the CT-scans and actually allowed me to go 6 months without one. I was fortunate to meet Dr. Whitney Graybill in 2010 when she preformed my debulking surgery(ie many procedures)for metastatic ovarian cancer. I lived in a town that had oncology, gynecology and many surgeons but not ONE surgeon who did all three specialties combined! She is a ROCK STAR! With 5 year survival statistics grim at best, we never even discussed 'that' as a possibility. Dr. Graybill and her team are of the utmost excellent professional, caring and compassionate team. She and her team have been treating my 30yo daughter with serious cancer diagnosis. When I am with my daughter at an appointment, it is quite intense, as I am a retired nurse myself. But, after every appointment, she makes me feel that there is hope with realistic expectations, but refuses to give up research and treatment that is the cutting edge in the field.
