Beautiful place to stay. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
We spent a lovely weekend at the Whitehaven. It has spectacular views of the Wicomico River and surrounding marshes. The hotel provides free use of its kayaks, and their is a kayak water trail through the marshes nearby. (At high tide, it was a two-hour paddle out and back.) Cindy Curran, the innkeeper, was friendly, helpful and an amazingly good cook. Our breakfasts were lavish.
What a charming place this is, and we feel so fortunate to have found it. The short ferry ride across the river, nests of osprey nearby, beautiful gardens, the magnificent restoration of this early 19th century structure, all added up to a memorable stay. And, of course, Cynthia's gourmet breakfast to top it all off.
