Sick on vacation is never fun. Called at 9, got an apt at 9:45, got called at 9:46. The staff was extremely sweet, and the Dr was awesome. He made my anxiety go away. I was out of there by 10:20.
I took my husband in while on vacation in Destin. What we thought was a sinus infection turned out to be covid. They never checked his heart, his breathing, his temperature or blood pressure. When I asked for a covid test too, they said I could make an appointment and come beck in few hours. I'm sitting right there next to my covid positive husband who is sick. They took great care of me while I was visiting Destin. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Counter staff was nice. Service was quick. The nurse practitioner was very professional and helped me get better.
We ended up having to take my son to immediate care to get him seen more quickly than our pediatrician. Called for an appointment and were taken back almost immediately where we were met by a friendly and thorough Nurse Practitioner named MJ. She was able to diagnose my son with something that was missed earlier in the week at his primary. The entire operation seemed to be friendly and competent. Mary Jean Middleton is amazing! My son was sick with a high fever, cough and congestion for five days after going to a different urgent care and being told it’s just viral. He began to get worse. We called and asked to be seen at the urgent care in Destin and they immediately got us in with Mary Jean Middleton. She was able to diagnose my son with pneumonia because she took her time, listened and did a thorough examination. God only knows what would happen if she would not have caught that he had pneumonia.
