I DO NOT RECOMMEND WHITE SANDS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. My father passed away a month ago, with two vehicles financed here. One vehicle, a Buick Verano, had credit life insurance to be paid off upon his passing for his family, while the other, a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, did not. Once he passed away, the Silverado had a balance remaining. White Sands agreed that the Silverado would be sold at auction, bearing the loss, and the title to the Buick would be given to his family, as intended. Friendly and helpful staff, never have had any problems.
My son went to pay off his vehicle loan. He wanted to use his credit card to get the points. The teller did not inform him that it would be a cash advance. When he found out that is was, he asked to speak to the manager, she was extremely rude, telling him he should have known that it would be a cash advance. The experience cost him about $250.00 & White Sands refused to even consider reversing the charge on his credit card. He said if the teller would have told him he would have written a check instead.
