The staff and nurses are excellent. The doctors will make you jump through flaming hoops to do anything.
I have had a great experience with the VA staff in general. Scheduling has never been a problem and they send me plenty of reminders. Everyone I've interacted with seems to take their job seriously, and really cares. I'm writing this review primarily because of a specific recent experience: At my appointment I had blood drawn and a flu shot. Vets beware, surrender all hopes of receiving help. Mysterious cancellations of much needed appointments, and the VA making purchases that you did not want nor ask for, but are required to pay via co-pay!! Goos stuff eh??
Its a shame how we treat our Veterans. I watched my girlfriend for months now try to get an appointment and she is just tossed around. Promises of calling her back or issue with registration. Not to mention the people on these calls are abrupt and lack empathy. I am on the way to the emergency room now because her symptoms continue to worsen and still no appointment from the VA. She served this country for 6 years and this is the thanks, she can't even see a doctor in a timely manner.
