I have brought three different family members to Dr. Gordon White’s practice over the last 33 years. Dr. White has a strong ability to communicate with patients and their advocates. He cares and has never insisted on a surgical intervention if there are other alternatives. The folks in our family fully trust in Dr. Gordon White of Austin, Texas.
This doctor and his front desk person were a poor example of what the medical industry has become. He literally violated his hippocratic oath and his front desk person behaved like an insane person and I confirm what I have read in other reviews about this place. Best bet is to find another provider. This doctor will not be helpful. The site made me edit my review so they could post it.
My chiropractor recommended Dr. White. I called his office and explained the situation (this was at the start of Covid). He looked at my images and MRIs I had and asked me to have another X-ray (he was concerned about the stability of my cervical vertebrae.). Once we had the next X-ray he called and explained very thoroughly (over the phone) what my issues were and the likely course of action that would be recommended by an orthopedic surgeon. My husband needed a spinal fusion. Dr White explained everything in a way my husband could understand. Husband doesnt know any medical anything. Dr White was patient with us answered every question. Even some we didnt think of asking. Was referred by Dr Pam Garcis.
I sought counsel and advice from Dr. White when I developed some nerve issues in my lower leg. I have never met a more humble and caring doctor in my life. He took the time to educate me on what he was seeing in my diagnostic tests, etc. After examining my leg, he even helped put my shoe back on my foot and then he tied the shoelace! I strongly recommend Dr. White. I will return to him should I develop any additional issues in the future.
I don't believe I have ever had a better experience visiting a physician. He was very thorough with aspects of the patient visit. So much so that I only had a couple of questions regarding my prognosis. I feel that doesn't want to operate unless absolutely necessary and genuinely concerned with my well being. The office environment was relaxed and never felt hurried along as I do with other physicians. Waiting to see the doctor was quick and painless.
My surgery was very complex and dangerous. I carefully interviewed several qualified surgeons and chose Dr. White due to his experience,, his thorough approach,. and his candor. I also found him ro be a very nice person. Now, as his patient , I am very pleased with my choice.
