DO NOT MOVE HERE. I moved here in 2019, and it was fantastic property, gorgeous apartments. Since 2022, it has RAPIDLY gone downhill. A new company purchased Whisper Ridge summer of 2025, and things have gotten even worse. I have had a broken dishwasher for six months, a broken microwave for three months, and back door shades that haven't been replaced since I moved in, which pose a safety issue. Its like living in a third world country. Sounds like the fire closet is going to explode and they don't ever fix it. Very scary life to be living...
Was looking at photos of the apartment online. Asked to set up a tour to see in person. Before I can even see in person they want me to fill out a application and pay $25 fee. Then I can see and tour the complex. Yeah I'm not going to pay for a application before even seeing the apartment. They also kept sending me a link that didn't work. Seems kind of scammy and fishy.
Disgusting lack of respect for residents. New management, still a slumlord. Be sure to put maintenance requests in an email. And if they are serious, copy the city inspector for West Des Moines if you want anything done about it. They will eventually be forced to maintain the property from the city. It would be nice if they would disinfect the area around the trash bins.
