I took up surfing late in life. Mike made me my very first custom board a few years back and it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I just had my first repair done. It is always a pleasure going to his shop. Great craftsmanship and great advise! Thank you Mike :)
Mike made a board for me (present my wife funded), and I really appreciated the time he took to know what my interests where for my surfing, things I liked, surfing strengths and weaknesses, and then built a totally custom board tailored to maximize my 45 year old-man surfing style. The first time I went out, I caught more waves than anyone else around me, and typically I catch the least. It grabs waves, flows, is light, fast, and responsive.
