I live in Michigan and always tried to support local production and made in USA but whirlpool is making this a difficult decision. My last decade experience with whirlpool has been nothing but a horrible experience. Problem #1 years ago got a new front load washer and dryer from lowes, duet i believe. Washer was DOA. Returned both and bought GE. Problem #2 years ago bought a whirlpool gold refrigerator. DOA. Lowes got me a new one and worked. When going to Whirlpool to interview, Do NOT BELIEVE What they tell you when the interview is done. They will do the exact opposite of what they tell you.. Which I think is just sad. What is this world coming too when you can’t believe what things employers say or state.. I was told in there words.. They just need to figure out whether to hire me as an apprentice or a skilled machinist. The only difference is the pay. Whirlpool products are poor quality. We have owned a refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator and dishwasher utilize many plastic parts which we replace on a regular basis. The first microwave burned out within a couple years and the next one lasted less than a year. We replaced that with an LG and it has given us no issues so far. Whirlpool clearly doesn’t care about their customers or their brand since they have over 300 reviews here without a single response from them.
