We recently had our house repaired due to water damage. Upon looking at the invoice from the contractor, I found a number of line items which were not completed or used (such as a portable potty). The floor QUOTE I received was $2.99 per square foot, we were then invoiced $3.80 per square foot. When I brought these discrepancies which equated to almost $2,400, the contractor (Wharton) stated that "insurance companies allow them to add items to the invoice to make up for other costs".
