Dr Whalen was an absolute life saver for me. I will always fondly remember the excellent care he gave me at a very critical time in my life. I probably wouldn't be here today if not for him.
I asked the treatment plan and questions concerning my loved ones non-improved condition. He told me adjusting meds. I was taking notes to remember and be able to update family members- I asked adjusting which meds? He told me I was not to quiz him. I feel like that was an appropriate question. He became rude and I felt like I could ask any questions without upsetting him. I felt guilt for impacting his attitude towards caring for my family member. All around yucky experience.
He redeemed himself a little after his first interaction which created great stress and and built zero trust. I might recommend him if I new he had received some re-education on building trust and reducing anxiety.
Over the pass week and a half I'm finding it very hard to watch someone I love that went into the hospital under his care and have seen her health seriously decline with NO help from this doctor. It seems to me she would be in better care under a different doctor might and possibly save her life. Finding it to be very difficult to hold back my feeling best way of saying it is NEGLECTED locked away in a corner floor left unattended without a care that she is there for.
