I went for a PCP visit as a new patient with Dr. Mertzlak. It was a preventative visit/annual physical so it was 100% covered by insurance. 2 months later, I received a bill for FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS because Dr. Mertzlak went ahead and sent a separate "code" to insurance because I asked two separate medical questions, to my medical doctor, during a medical visit, so it was deemed no longer a preventative visit. Doctor doesn't care and entire staff is rude.
I've been using this practice for over 25 years as my PCP. My doctor recently retired and was assigned a new doctor; Dr A. O'Donnell who, like my previous doctor, Dr. Stroud, took the time with me on all my visits. Dr. O'Donnell is a very good listener and asks all the right questions. I feel she really cares about my well-being. She is much younger so I expect she will be my doctor for quite awhile.
