I visited the AHN Health Network – Wexford Health & Pavilion Emergency Department due to severe body and back pain, dry cough and body heating sensation. After the initial triage, I was asked to wait and ended up waiting for nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes without any update or reassessment. During this time, my pain worsened to the point where I could barely sit. My husband and I both had emergency care in the same week and we can’t say enough good things about how well we were taken care of from the time we got in the ER, up to our room, surgery, then discharge. The staff was wonderful and the nurses on the 5th floor were so friendly and very attentive. It is nice having such a great community hospital so close to home!!
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVEN BOTHER with their express/urgent care. It’s a joke! Husband went in for side & abdominal pain. They sent him home with an RX for antibiotics saying he had a UTI. Next day, in the ER! They were even surprised they didn’t send him down to them and didn’t do more for him. Ended up having a kidney stone! Go to any other urgent care besides this one!
This AHN Wexford Health and Wellness Pavilion provides walk-in care for minor illnesses such as the flu and infections and injuries such as sprains, strains, and orthopedic injuries. My husband went here after he had a fall. The employees did an assessment and an x-ray. They concluded that his injuries would likely heal on their own, and they recommended pain medication.
We had our baby here, it’s a beautiful facility with ample parking and excellent staff. Our Nursing staff were simply the best, Sarita, Kelly, Amanda, Nancy, Megan and others (sorry I don’t recall all the names) The care was best in class, all questions answered, all requests processed and always at beside in 10 second notice. 100/100 experience.
