I stayed in a studio here for 2 years, it was the perfect apartment for what I needed at the time. The place is quiet and I never felt unsafe. The rent is affordable and any of my concerns/maintenance needs were addressed promptly. Noise was minimal, and there were plenty of parking spots. Got some taken from my deposit for cleaning etc. but that’s to be expected. I definitely recommend Westwood Apartments to anyone in the Carbondale area looking for a studio.
The landlords (David & Lauren Miller) of Westwood Rentals LLC have not returned my refundable $1,050 security deposit. I left (apt. 5) the property in pristine conditions. **********BEWARE POTENTIAL TENANTS******************* - Landlords actively deceive their tenants. -Landlords do not abide by the rental contract and will NOT return refundable security deposit.
Affordable, good part of town, and landlord was a really nice guy. Let me do a 3 month lease just for the summer in 2021
Overall great apartment complex. 1. Safe and quiet location. 2. Ample amount of parking. 3. Reasonably priced studio units with kitchenette. 4. 24/7 access to onsite coin-operated launderette (2 washers & 2 dryers). 5. Property is aptly maintained. 6. Near nature reserves, parks, & SIU.
I moved in Westwood when I was studying my masters in SIU. This place gave the right amount of peace and quality I needed to focus on my studies. It's such a fine place for student since I was one. It's clean, has parking, and the management is fine. No complaints at all.
