RecommendedDr. Steve Walz and staff are the best! Always caring, always gentle with our animals, whether its the tiniest puppy or colts to be casterated, and our full grown quarter horses needing coggins and health checks! He also does great work when in question of sick horse, running diagnostic tests, etc. Oh, and he is also great with our cattle! Dehorns the best!!!! He listens to our needs and responds with info besides treating the animals and aftercare if injuries!!! We try to stay safe, but with animals, anything can happen!!
Westside Veterinary Hospital on a scale of 1-10 is 💯!! My little toy poodle Albert needed surgery in both eyes for Cherry Eye.. we called the veterinarian clinic in Hiawatha and they wanted about $350 total! $115 per eye and $42 for office call, $45 for anesthesia and plus $$ for Rx after care 😳 Westside got my little Albert in and took great care with him for less than $88 . ♥️ They took extra care with my little guy. I have used this veterinarian hospital for many years. Dr Steve and his staff are an outstanding group of people. I cannot say enough good things about them.
Dr. Walz and his team are great people. Always took the best care of my pups.
This vet is a horrible place! My daughter brought her dog in after it had been showing signs of trauma and her dog was examined and then sent on her way with only receiving a few pain shots. Being told she’d make a full recovery and only to have our sweet girl pass away in the night.
We can't say enough about Westside Vet and we tell everyone we know how great you all are!! Have been bringing a different range of animals to you all for well over 12 years!
Thank you for taking such good care of Dodger and now the Fat Cat (and soon our Tiny Cat). Everyone there is so helpful and nice!
Could never beat the love, kindness and extra special care with Dr. Steve and staff. Been with them for many years and many furry babies from our family. If you want someone who goes above and beyond, go see these wonderful people.
