I purchased my house in October 2020 3 days later my roof was flapping, water was leaking from the hallway bathroom into the kitchen area submitted a claim DR Horton blamed the plumbing the plumbers came blamed DR Horton. Dr Horton blamed the flooring the flooring tech came blamed DR Horton. It was a nightmare eventually all 3 were in the bathroom tearing the toilet out the tub out and the flooring. My experience has been very good thus far with my D.R. Horton home. Purchased this ranch-style home as the 2nd owner to it. Sent in my maintenance request for the sagging porch roof vinyl on Dec 31, 2024, and rec'd a response right away from Courtney. She advised me that although this was no longer under warranty that they would repair it anyways as the prior owners did not address this. The repair was completed 8 days after my request. I pray that this shows publicly. I'm a United States Army Veteran, who just used my VA Loan to purchase my first home. This has been the worst experience for me and my family. DR Horton's representatives first lied about the nature of the communities HOA. I had a couple of violations before I even moved into my house.(2 days after closing) I have had electrical issues within the house that could have caused a fire, but I work in maintenance and was able to catch it.
