Do not consider this neighborhood. High crime rate
I had a top floor apartment and overall, it was okay. Roaches are definitely in the building but I will say that once my original neighbor moved out I never saw them again. Definitely mice as well (my cats tend to leave the tails). And my 1 bedroom felt a little overpriced at the time but the location is really nice. Living here from the ages of 22-24 I couldn’t tell you how many times we’ve rode Birds/RideKC bikes to and from nightlife, or even just walking home from a show at the Uptown Theatre, oh good times. Wanna get ripped off for an overpriced apartment that still feels like living at home? Maintenance has mandatory entries into your home at least once a month. Whether it be for required pest control, or building maintenance. Since living here they’ve entered my home 20 times (usually with less than 24 hour notice). The water in the building is constantly breaking and to access the pipes they have to use wall entries in YOUR HOME. Oh and the water bill is split among tenants and they don’t compensate you for the constant wast... read more
