We have a car loan through these people, and they repossessed the car without any warning. No past due notices although they claim "as far as they're concerned we were notified". In order to get it back we would have to pay the whole 22k. They're greedy, unethical, and liars. My husband was NEVER notified. Their website doesn't say if you're past due or how much. Sketchy business practice. Im a trustee and inheritor of a family trust created by my father. Its been almost a year since the death of my stepmother. We have discovered some shady dealings and have requested a detailed history of the account. The ********************************************* locked the account and after multiple visits and a lawyer the funds were transferred. Yet Westmark sternly denies us the requested history. My rent is due. My bank account is randomly unable to access with no way to fix it. They said there are technical issues. I now have to pay a late fee for my rent, my car payment and I will have a lapse in my insurance. I may get evicted. Nobody is helping me and I have called 10 times to fix it but they keep saying there are technical issues. My bank card doesnt work so I cant even buy food or gas.
I sold my car through carvana, ******* paid off my auto loan but I had $25 in a savings account, not a checking account and they took $15 in "dormant" fees but NO ONE ever reached out or sent me an email. When I called to check on this i had only $10 and asked what happened. They said I needed to read the fine print but they totally get that no one does! DO NOT GO HERE. I've been with ICCU and they have NEVER pulled this on me. Highlt disregard westmark, they act like its not a big deal.
They charge $5 fee to cash a check from their customers that bank with them. Horrible. I bet if their customers knew that people who can checks written to others, they would hopefully stop banking with them.
This place wrote my car loan. Then they immediately started harassing me saying they needed to see proof of insurance or they would add it for more than $3,500! I am and have been insured with Nationwide Insurance for a long time. I uploaded proof as they requested. Still they are harassing me for insurance. I have tried calling 3 days in a row and nobody answers to help. Of course! They bury you with automated menus and no option to speak with someone. Westmark, likely through an input error, requested a car payoff in the same ammount three times. It cost hundreds of dollars in overage fees. They deny any wrong doing. I would be very wary about doing any business with this company.
Westmark Credit Union website is down several times a month and we are unable to access our accounts to pay bills, check balances or transfer funds. It has been down for more than 10 hours today. I would never choose this institution to do business with and I will close my accounts soon. Thank goodness Westmark failed to provide me with proper paperwork to have my paycheck auto-deposited into my account because I would be unable to use my funds!
I would really love to be a fan. I really would. I know people who work at Westmark CU, whom I very much like and respect; and I like to support locally-owned businesses. But this latest debacle confirms the previous poor opinion I had of Westmark. Bottom line is that I am out of patience and time.
