I stayed at the Baranof Downtown, BW Signature Collection several years ago, and I still have fond memories of my visit. The hotel has a classic charm with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The lobby’s vintage elegance set the tone, and the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with directions or local recommendations. My room was clean, comfortable, and full of character — a nice balance between historic style and modern comfort. The location was perfect ... read more
The hotel is located in the heart of the city and close to everything. It's a bit dated, but the rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. We stayed at room 312 for 3 nights in Aug 2025. After extensive research, this is one of the better hotels in Juneau, as there seems to be only three star hotels in Juneau. Classic old school hotel. Friendly, great dinner. Pecan Maple encusted Coho Salmon. 😋
I'll give the Baranof a 5 with the caveat that this is Juneau. The people are very friendly & helpful. The rooms are small but clean & comfortable. Great location for walking to almost anything in downtown Juneau. We had breakfast in the onsite restaurant a couple of times and the food was good. Would definitely stay here again.
