No ventilation in the rooms. Have to leave window and curtains open to get any air. Convenient location in downtown Juneau.
The hotel is historic. Rooms are small and loud on the front. Street cleaners at 4am, deliveries early morning too. No AC so open windows allow a lot of noise.
Extremely cramped rooms with non functioning climate control. Outdoor temp was in the 50s and our room was in the upper 70s, even with our windows open. And with the rain that made our room extremely uncomfortable.
I stayed at the Baranof Downtown, BW Signature Collection several years ago, and I still have fond memories of my visit. The hotel has a classic charm with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and close to everything. It's a bit dated, but the rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. My room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the bay, but the lack of air conditioning meant I had to sleep with the window open on warm, sunny days because it was so hot.
