We stayed 3 nights in Juneau and The Baranof was perfect for our stay. No, it’s not a 5 star Hotel as you might consider a 5 star hotel, however it was built in 1939!! It’s charm and location make it a great place to stay and deserves our 5 stars! There are no chain Marriott’s or Ritz Carltons so chill-out and enjoy The Baranof. Walking distance to everywhere, great staff, clean fresh room every day, Coffeemaker with Herit... read more

Clean room, nice staff. Very old building with no air conditioning and it was hot the two nights we spent there. The rooms are small too.
Second room which was suite. I was on the pullout bed. No pillows or blankets for the pull out. Asked the desk for pillows and blanket and they said the room with pillows and blankets was locked and they didn’t have the key. They finally brought me a blanket but no pillows. Tipped the maid 5$ and left the pull out open so she could make the pull out bed. She made the the double bed but didn’t do anything to the pull out, just left it out and in-made up. No new towels when cleaning the room. Pretty shabby. Great location but ... read more
