My experience with Western and Southern has been pretty terrible. My aunt was sold a life annuity at 81 1/2 yearsold by one of their agents, who is no longer with the company. The annuity terms were simply a $429 monthly payment for life in exchange for a $45,000 up front payment, with no beneficiary provision. Thus, paymentsstop upon the death of the payee, with no return of any of the premium to any survivors of the annuitant/payee.
