In July of 2025, I had surgery at this facility. It was overcrowded with patients and very rushed. When the nurses attempted to put my IV in, they kept trying, giving me marks and bruises then realized the IV was Not set up correctly. My arms were so bruised it looked as if I was beaten up. This facility knew I was in a wheelchair and would need help transferring to a stretcher for my procedure. When we got to my appointment (cancelled work, etc) we were told that they "couldn't risk" their staff's backs to help me transfer. When I offered to do it myself, they said "no, you'll be too groggy from meds." The appointment was cancelled as I was in the waiting room.
Everybody I know really looks forward to their screening Colonoscopy and/or EGD (yeah right!) Because the care was exceptional I would like to credit the folks who cared for me during this potentially embarrassing yet necessary screen. this “surgery center” for colonoscopy resembled more of a school nurses office. in pre-op there are 3-4 beds tightly crammed together with only curtains separating patients. no room for anyone whatsoever and wheres the doctor patient confidentiality? another thing Id like to mention is I am 20 years old. this was my first procedure and I was VERY anxious, particularly over the anesthesia as I have never been under.
