I had 2 experiences here. Both have been much better than any other hospital ive visted. As always wait times are ridiculous but nothing to be done there. Particularly on my second visit to the mental health unit has been delightful. Private rooms with own toilet and shower, very nice facilities (relaxation room, excercise room, laundry, etc) i would say every single staff person I've met has been incredibly nice and kind and ive been regularly surprised by the care given me here and the effort to genuinely try to help me ge... read more
I am so fortunate to having experienced the care by all staff and first responders, I was diagnosed with a blood clot and eventually led to a stroke, thanks again for all your special care and attention, I appreciate you all so much, my wife and I wish you all a Merry Christmas a joyous New Year.
If your ideal place is to stand in a corridor and have your medical files reviewed with everyone walking past with no respect to privacy then go ahead. Shameful to have such a beautiful hospital and no rooms to discuss a 15-20 minute consultation.
Rude rude rude! Janitorial staff are more pleasant than the nurses.
The Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a beautiful, modern hospital in Corner Brook. Wait times may be high in certain areas, though it depends on what you are in there for. The vast majority of staff working there are friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to give their best. There are other smaller nitpicky things I can bring up. However, this hospital is a decent one.
