I brought my aircraft to Lafayette Aircraft Services to have work completed by one of their avionics contractors. The aircraft was at the facility for less than 20 hours. Their staff did not perform any work on my airplane. Afterward, I received a combined bill of $3,200 between the contractor and the facility — $1,400 of which was labeled as a “facility fee.” At no point was I told there would be any additional fees of any kind.
