Three hour wait! Didn’t even get seen and this rude nurse belittled my injury!
In the past I have received excellent care at St. Anthony's emergency room. However, my most recent time, as a nurse practitioner myself, I have to say it was below standard of care. I went in at 4 am for tachycardia, it took over 30 mins for an IV to be placed. I was not given any IV fluids, or any medications to slow my heart rate. My 3 yr old needed to be transported for fluids (dehydrated) and I was told she’d be emitted by the first doctor. We were given another hospital, but I asked for here (Westchester) because of great reviews. We were transported here for 5 hrs where my child received no IV the entire time, received bloodwork after 2 hrs in the hall and then was given the results another 2 hrs later to say her vitals went up some and they believe she could be good to go home and continue to hydrate. Waste of time for me & my poor girl.
