An important concern about the dentists and hygienists at West York Dental, who are certainly competent, is that they added a "mandatory" fluoride service that I had neither requested nor needed. Their incompetence derives from the front desk, where the women are nice but dim. During my visit in October 2016 they neglected to inform me - before even seeing the dentist - that I would be charged an extra $20 for the topical APP FI varnish that I did not want. You need to be cautious and aware of the amount of X-Rays being taken at this dental office. The ADA suggests every 2 years for bite wings, unless you are a high risk patient and have tooth complaints. Panoramic X-Rays should NOT be taken on children younger then 12 years of age. Their have been studies linked to Panoramic X-Rays taken on Children younger then age 12 that have been at a higher risk of developing a brain tumor called a meningioma.
