I have been coming to West Somerville Dental for years and recently decided to part ways with them. Previously they had been very understanding about insurance payments and reimbursement after appointments but due to changes in policy I was told I would have to pay for the visit out of pocket. Stay away from this place. They could do anything to your body just to make the money. They also drilled while the Novocain wore off. I have never experienced such a pain. There good people in that place, but some people are really bad. BAD PEOPLE

This place is here to scam you out of as much money as possible with unnecessary procedures. I visited this location for the first time after moving to Somerville, I had the same dentist prior to this for 30 years then moved. The hygienist I saw first gave me her honest opinion and said I had beautiful healthy teeth but needed full X-rays in order for the dentist to be sure. **DO NOT COME HERE** This place is here to scam you out of as much money as possible with unnecessary procedures. I visited this location for the first time after I popped my filling out at home. The hygienist I saw first gave me her honest opinion and said i'd just need another filling (thanks for your integrity Marisa, but i'll never be a patient here again). Due to Maharma Alvi's negligence and repetitive misdiagnoses, I was in pain for 3 months and almost had an unnecessary root canal. On 4/17/2019, I had 2 cavities filled and a crown put on at West Somerville Dental by Alvi. The procedure was atypical and I left with my mouth incredibly sore. I did not want to return to that office, but I finally broke down and made an appointment after a few weeks of pain on the right side of my mouth, both the top and bottom.
