RecommendedThe care our babies get is top notch, Dr Leonard is thorough in explaining everything. Just had my kitten to be spayed, I’ve never seen such a procedure look so good afterwards - it’s barely noticeable.
Dr Leonard is amazing! Really takes the time to explain things to you and takes his time with your concerns! Our dogs have allergies & he actually took the time and pulled up the ingredients on their food and went one by one to see if there was anything not so good for them! So thankful to have found him & for all he has done for our pups!
The entire staff is so very kind & compassionate! Dr. Leonard was my vet in Throop & when I found out he left, I followed him to Kingston. I drive over 30 minutes to get there & there are many vets closer, but the quality of treatment is worth the drive!
Dr Leonard and all the staff are kind and compassionate. I can’t say enough about the level of care my fur babies receive each time we go there.

I have to give a big shout out to the West Side Veterinary Hospital. I went to pick up Minnie's ashes today and they came in a beautiful wooden box with a lovely engraved name-plate. And much to my surprise, they had also made a casting of her paw prints. Yesterday I received a sympathy card from them and it was so personal and caring it brought me to tears. This was my first visit today with Dr. Leonard. Absolutely loved him. He is kind, compassionate and was very good with my rescue kitty Alex. From my first initial call to set up the appointment, to the staff, and him, they're a very nice, kind group. I met Dr. Rubin a few years ago. He listened to my concerns, answered any questions I had, and I didn't feel rushed. We will be coming back for a follow up in two weeks, and will then set up an oral surgery date. For exotic pets, Dr Leonard is amazing. He is willing to do tests instead of assume common issues, and gives very comprehensive care advice. He has helped me with several bearded dragons I rescued or rehomed, when I had no background on their previous care or conditions.
